New Year New Job!

Since September I have been working at Reitmans. Looking after a couple of kids from Jesse and Shantal's classes. In December i let the hospital go, it was a hard decision but one that had to be made. I can no longer work in a negative environment, 13 years of being told I was not good enough for them was enough. So now I am hitting the pavement looking for other opportunities. I have an interview with a mortgage company later today and the hours are great. I will post the outcome when I know. Here are some photos of Shantal's 10th birthday party and here is some from christmas

I will update again when i can trying to get back in the swing of it off to get ready for job interview wish me luck..

Well long time no post lol, I got tired of posting negative stuff all the time so I stopped . New year and some changes I have made personally made a big job change back in December . I am no longer working at the hospital it was beginning to be a negative experience for me and well I tell ya I am much happier now . Working currently at Reitmans clothing store but keeping my eyes open for other opportunities . Have not scrapbooked much lately but did manage to get most of my December daily album done will post when I am complete which should be shortly take care and Happy New Year everyone!!!

and the kids on summer break we dont get much time to blog around here but i do have lots to say.....lol. I have been busy looking after my MIL and working a bit more. With the kids out of school i dont have to worry to much about how to get them around so i have been working a little plus working canada census till the end of july. we have a plans this summer but we are trying very hard to get a truck paid off completely before we go on holidays in april next year.... some very good friends came for a quick visit 2 weeks ago and share their new daughter with us. Lets just say she made very quick friends with Shantal and they had alot of fun!!!will try to update again in the next week so ta for now....

hey we are still here life is busy , My MIL broke an ankle back in march . We have been busy between her, work, kids and just plain going outside. Plus well my computer is not reall functional all the time now . Ended up with a newer one its kinda slow though . Hoping to post some eye candy soon cleaning out my scrap space trying to convince hubby i need to move upstairs lol!

It actually was not delayed to much even though Grandma ( my MIL ) fell and broke her ankle the day after his real birthday we waited till the 26th to celebrate as we were waiting for one of Davids close buddies to come home from a family holiday! we made peanut buttter reece cupcakes and an white cupcake for the party my pictures are no good as i forgot my camera at home and i am still learning my iphone camera lol!!
the reece one i need to work on this recipe not very tasty but they looked very cute!! lol so check out the salt blog here for this weeks challenge!!

Did you check out the post over at the salt blog today? you can find it here i have been working on cleaning out the file cabinet in my scrap space and also working at the taxes and few other things before i start back to work on saturday. I have been off four months think i will remember how to do my job? eeck i am not sure lol!!! here some picture of davids room when i get a better one i will post it what do you think? typical pre-teenager i still need to put the skateboarder dude on the wall but getting there!

i thought i would share some of the latest stuff but first most in importantly anyone looking for the latest salt challenge should look here this mine my interpretation of it
this is one of my grandfather whom would have just celebrated his 84 th birthday!! love you grandpa!! go check out the challenge! this is from the last challenge i love how it turned out and it is now hanging in davids freshly painted room!!! which i will show sometime this week after david gets it organized!

we also had some birthdays around here so i better show you some pictures!

above are jesses cupcakes he wanted some multi colored cupcakes easy peasy!!and shantal wanted a little more girly! i found this cupcake holder at winners for cheap!!! but i dont recommend this white cake recipe not so good !

i will update when i get some picture of the newly painted room so hoepfully tonight he will organize so he can have his sleepover this weekend !!!

I am usually a very good poster but lately yeesh!! Anyways i am posting my three favorite layouts so far .................

This layout is a favorite because it is brutal honesty and i love to scrap about real life! I love the way the colors flow and the mix of papers

but its time to come back just had nothing to say really . i had surgery in oct so i have been sitting at home working on unfinished projects i can do with having a cast on my leg. the other day i got looking at shan's chair i ordered the fabric for it a yr ago this week so it was time to get this done i started yesterday about 11 am or so pulled all the staples in short order and had a good bit of it started before i went and got the boys from school want to see it ??
i have plans to get her room painted and few other things done shortly and then i will show the whole room i have grand ideas lol!!

First Day of School

this mom is excited but mostly just for the peace and quiet i dont seem to get that when kids are here. the kids have been bickering like mad. about anything and everything. they need their space and they get that at school. we added another cat to our house they faught all day yesterday but i just caught them cuddling in my bed lol !!! one was born may 23 hes so sweet and gentle he has moments when he gets really crazy . the female was born july 7 she is so fuzzy. very sweet and loud lol!. the kids adore them its nice to have kittens in the house again. randy has been working like crazy which is nice we actually had money left over this pay check awww breathing room again but we are banking it . i am having surgery sometime this month and i will be off for 6-8 weeks which will be a nice break from the drama. girls and drama goes hand in hand i am off to enjoy the rest of quiet day ......

was totally clean for over 24 hrs until the kids came home been a busy time since they have been back lots of work for me and hubby yay ...... i found out thursday that i need to have surgery in sept and wear a cast yet again thats ok this is the fix the problem surgery i have been needing i think. i have a tendon out of place... So in 2 weeks i have a 20 yr union coming up and i am wondering if i really want to go. As i really dont think i want to there are diffinately some friends i want to see . the old girls friends ones that you have not talked in 20 yrs and the convo picks up right where it left off . some i am diffiantely curious about and then there are some i really do not wish to see at all. surprise there lol not. got alot of shopping to do clothes and school supplies to get for kids.As they have grown like mad over the summer jesse is on a massive growth spurt i think hes a flower needs the sun and water lol.......

they went to summer camp yesterday and not home till wednesday yay for mama for a bit of a breather have to work at the scrap store in a couple of hours hoping its a bit of an easy night so i can work on my products feeling a bit overwelmed there to not to bad but man when you think you know it all well ya thats quite inaccurate actually lol!! have quite a few layouts done i am going to work on some stuff tomorrow as mama must play as no one to bug me to take them some where or can i go with this friend or that. hubby and i went out for supper and a movie last night it was awesome food was delicious!! in about 3 weeks hubby and i have been married 12 yrs long time!! but still not even halfway to my goal!

has kept me kinda busy and kinda tired i just worked 6 days in a row now not full out 8 hrs a day kinda job. But on your feet running around in a hot store kinda job putting stock away. Learning how to handle customers and working the interac machine eeeck wow you forget things when you have not been in a retail setting for 12 yrs lol. i think i am doing well i have bonded with some co workers and others i think maybe on the crazy side lol . but i am having fun with and well it supports a hobby i love!! yes i am working at the LSS. so i am off to study my product knowledge handout i should have it done fairly quickly!

What have you done or doing today? Something special ? I so far had to work this morning but no biggie i was there 4 hours. Not to sure what we're doing the rest of the day i got loads of cards from the kids and coupon book from shan (boy does she not know what she is getting herself into lol) so some positive to share i got the job at the scrapbook store not sure when i start yet andwe sold our trailer a little cash infusion YAY! goodbye to a little debt and jumpstart on the deck which is good i will post some pictures we plan on working on it this week ... and i am out later Have a great mothers day!

without airing a whole bunch of dirty laundry and making this a negative post.there is not a whole lot to talk about . the positive randy starts a new job this month ( YAY ) and i am looking for a part time job had an interview hoping to heard today. the kids have less than 8 weeks of school left before summer crazy how fast this year went. everybody is doing awesome there. we have decided that this summer is time to pay off the extra bills and hopefully it will be done quick. nothing like getting rid of extra debt. check out the challenge on the salt blog this week and last week ( last week was my turn) hoping to post some teacher books real quick i have taken on the tradition of making a thank you book for each of the kids teachers ... its kinda popular from what i hear. anyways off to de clutter the bedroom ( can you tell i watched hoarders last night lol!!)

Hey how have you been me to blah to blog my life in the last has changed a bit and its been good

e moved out yay!!! long story short i am not ready to have a teenager and she did not mesh well with our family, added to much drama we did not want in our life!

have been sick with a very nasty cold i would have though it was pneumonia and of coarse i did not go to the doctor lol!!

reduced the amount of games i play on facebook by 3 lol and deleted 230 + friends who really were not friends at all

moved out of my scrap space so oldest son could have his own room and that we could have a spare room too its kinda nice not sure i been successful in keeping shanny out of it but we will get there

had a visit with my sissy!!

sick around here kinda leaning towards it being the flu maybe even h1n1 but really not sure because it was kinda mild fever for 4 days for me and headache kinda may me think it was. we have alot to do in the next couple of weeks at least hubby is working pretty solid thankful for brothers who put there family to work yes randy is still working for mark at least till after christmas when things are looking up he has sent over 200 resumes can you believe it? not even a phone call . i am guessing its gotta be god because i am hearing some horror stories , i am really starting to think the job market is going to change drastically exspecially from an employer view. my hubby is a very hard worker, shows early stays late. will work 7 days a week for months if need be and if he is sick he will go in anyways and be the one sent home so you can see i am sick guy. he not mouthy, he does not smoke, and he can do many things extremely well he is smart and knows when to speak up and suggest things. hes my man !! So this has been hard mentally on him very hard he does not understand what he has done wrong either, kinda proud i think.

we have had a birthday for mr jesse he turned 9( holy cow when did that happen!!!) here is his cake i made him

we also had a big birthday for grandma s she turned 65 this year WOW now when did that happen? she so does not look it either!! and of coarse we had halloween

i just started letting the kids go out for this last year it concerns me but we have talked alot about it. i found the kids parties through the church are getting boring for the kids they gear towards the little ones more and the mall is getting to explicit for me even.. i sent them out with granny as i am still not going to far i am out of my air cast some what although some days i need it more then i realize. i went to work on saturday for 6 hours and felt so tired and sore after. but i will get there been there before not to long ago and i still remember so i am off to take care of a sicky girl as she has a fever now too!

this is for this weeks challenge at SALT check it out here i choose this verse joshua 1:9 because it reminds of our live as of late. god reminding us to be strong and courageous not to be terrified not to be discouraged for the lord your god will be you wherever you go. i am holding firm to that verse, we are making it work but it been a little disheartening. randy has been applying for jobs that show up in the paper i think he has handed out over 200 resume's in the last bit things are picking up at work here and there but it is so hard to work where you never know if your going to make a pay check. thank you shawn randys brother he has been putting randy to work here and there we will make it through another month, and well if i dont make it back to work soon yikes!!! my ankle and leg feel pretty good i started wearing the air cast everywhere its a little tough to get used to, when you do it feels not to bad i can put weight on it and can get around pretty good. Need good things and positive things now in life hoping we get a party together for jesse eeck hes almost 9. where did the time go?

so with my sister here we got to work even though i cant do much we have so far made banana bread, peanut butter cookies with chocolate chips(pretty good i might add). the plan today is hamburger soup, buns, more cookies and hopefully pickled carrots as i still have carrots in the ground. yes there is snow here lol i figure they are pretty safe for a bit longer need to find dill oh MIL !!!! she has some for me what are your plans for the weekend? my sister goes home tomorrow she has to work all weekend we are going to MILs on sunday not to much else going on i will post pictures later of our creations i may even scrapbook later........ much better then yesterday ups and downs its all about life

we had decided to take the kids out to the go cart track we have been promising to do it all summer and just never got there well we had an injury and the person was not even driving a go cart yep was me accident prone i seem to be lately broke 2 bones in my lower leg more ankle area in the same leg i have already broken once the pain is managable but poor david is just beside himself something was wrong with the go cart he was driving jammed up and he hit the side of the track where i was standing basically the cart hit me i did not really need this but i guess we will manage that to hubby seems to be taken it in stride so hopefully all things will work out heres some pictures of the kids riding

just not in the mood i am starting to think i need meds again but they did nothing last time so ...just not into it . i would love to get on here and tell you all about life but just to much complaining going on in my life to share and i am not a happy girl about it. but i think hubby is starting to come to the realization that he needs to find other employment its been slow moving around here on that one. why is it you feel your being lead in a direction have been for years and now looks like you may have to go back in that direction you had a hard time giving up? what did i need to learn? if you seen any blaring flashing neon signs about my head could you be a friend and point it out? cause i am missing something here so i better get off here before i start really explainng and complaining about it i need to go to work anyways LOL its all i got..........

Cleaning out the scraproom

so its time to clean out the scrap room again i am giving away a rak so any and all comments left between now and the end the month august 31 will be entered are you up for it? enter as many times as you would like. so we lost someone not so close and very extended family this week hoping and praying for the family much peace about it she is in a better place we know that we love you and if you need us we are here. i got quite a few layouts on my desk to share we have had alot of stress going around our house this past week without going into to much detail randy is out looking for other employment again. so i am hoping something fulltime comes available soon keep us in your prayers thanks so much!! we have another exchange student coming on august 28th and we may even end up with my dad to this winter so there is half my mortgage payment yay!! back above board if you know what i mean lol!! we have more camps this week d is in soccer camp 9-3 and them j and s are in swim camp from 12 -4 love them all but they are grumpy i think school needs to start sooner....... lol not going to happen we have family reunion this next weekend . then a wedding the weekend after that also a trip to calaway planned with the rest of my family woot woot !!!! what else have you got going on this summer? i am also looking for ideas for hubby and i going away in january i think maybe vegas?? not sure i am going to make the trip in october girls no money yet may change though..........not that i am rowdy anyways going for more of the shows then anything and the lights what would you do?

so i am working nights again so i sit here trying to stay awake. not much going on we went canada day to a friends house for a bbq was fun. kids had a water balloon fight and went in the hot tub. got to see cutie girl leah she is now 2 months and we may be going camping with her, her mom and dad and her big brother at the end of july, if randy does not need to be somewhere else. i am hoping he gets busy for a bit again it seems like we are stuggling so keep us in your thoughts. i have thought about it and i am putting the kids on the bus for the next year driving just drives me crazy so i am thinking this will be better. E comes to live with us on the 28th of august. hoping that works better for us. praying that she is a blessing more so. go to my moms next monday the 13th for a couple of days to help her clean out basement to get things better organized for her and i hope she is willing to throw out as i am concerned. shantal and i are thinking we may sneak away for a girl only date and maybe we will take great grandma with us as she seems to be lonely. hoping to catch up with a few people while we are down there.and maybe my new neice or nephew will be here. heres hoping shay!!!and maybe doug you will get your boy ???? my baby sister turned 27 on friday man she getting up there i wonder when she passed me as i am only 25??? so i better return to work incase the camera is running lol have a good week !

ms. elle went home this weekend to korea we adored her but i did like the extra work involved with her i have to tell ya. the girl has a very priviledged life and has no idea really, she felt the need to make some serious messes and not clean them up. she was told to wash her linens once a week never happened and to be honest i was not jumping up and doing it for her i have enough on my little plate i did her laundry only because she asked if she would have striped the bed i would have made sure the sheets were washed but it never happened i did learn alot about how different cultures are she kinda thought my mom was in her 70's my grandma is as i am only 36 but i guess it could happen. she did not like randy very much she may have liked him but was very timid she has goals it called study study study and i have to say they work hard she was very shy her and i got along great but there was an invisible line i could not pass it i found out very last minute that i was not going with her to the airport which really was kinda a blessing in disgiuse (sp?)but it really ticked me off that it was a dicision that was made without me i am hoping when we get ms. erica in the fall that it will be a better experience as this has been a great learning experience for me i will be laying down some rules and routines with the next girl but she has also been here for 3 years almost 4 now and i think it will be better she is very friendly. so in the fall i will have a gr12 a gr5 a gr3 and a gr2 when did all the children get so big????? i think i missed it to be honest i need to work on that we have some serious summer plans not sure how often i will be on here so heres hoping you all stick around !!

fire the writer for this blog left to fend for itself well life happens we have been busy school getting out soon randy's been working out of town lots and i was working nights some this month which kinda really messes me up lately. so we have a rude neighbour in our mist here they seem to believe that its perfectly fine to run a bobcat in his yard at 1230 am well i guess he must be pretty rich as we have called him in at least 3 times in the last couple of weeks. i have been telling the kids to show respect to the neighbours show respect to everyone don't do things that are annoying. they are really starting to see things, and have to my dismay said things that may not have been good we correcting that . we spent some time my cousin and her family yesterday they were in innisfail this weekend for a ball tourney so we went to check out mr j play man people seriously under estimate people exspecialty when they are short i glad that kid set them straight ! go j go !!! today i have a special supper planned for "DAD" and the kids all made him a special something i have some cjs to mail out and some teacher gifts to get made for the last day of school so i ahd better get at it !!!

about my painting well its well under way the one color is almost done should be done today in fact the downstairs is completly done.the upstairs should be done within the hour and the next step is the second tone which will be next week i think just trying to stay in budget lol ya right no really. hubby and i have been working on the garden planting this weekend i think we are doing everything and i mean everything except potatoes we have herbs to loads to look after good times lol. i am thinking i am not going to work this much after summer gets here with the kids wanting to do things and such they are going to camp.thinking of a few day camps to and a trip to edmonton and lethbridge are all in the works. had some cool little finds at garage sales recently one tannis would totally steal if she could lol!!!! my sister came this weekend while i was working nights . she did all my laundry love my sister and i mean LOVE her!!!! i have lost a total of 19 lbs now i am so excited but so much more to lose biggest loser do you take canadian entries???? please?? start now???? i have some scrappinest to share i will try and post it tomorrow i dont seem to go downstairs that often since the lap top got here lol !!!! have a great weekend!

is on your plate? well i have heading to the farmers market love that place and so excited that fresh produce is on woohoo exspecially since i have taken up drinking smoothies for breakfast lately looking for different ingredients i am still working on my laundry pile yes i know i was determined to get it done the other day and i did but then i started washing bed linens i try to do them once a week boys are going quading this afternoon so shan and i may scrap book good news here to i made the 2nd round of the last scrapper standing contest there was alot of really good entries there the first round and i can wait to see what the next round does i am cleaning out my scrap room again tying upthinking of painting my room i am almost done upstairs i am having a hard time with the vaulted ceilings and i am scared of the latter i am trying to talk randy into it i think he might i just dont want to fall again lol already enough injuries here for a bit i have dropped 4 lbs this week looking for a better diet one that appeals to the kids as well more fruit more veggies and some interesting things to do with them want to share any ??off to shower before hubbs is back

and boy do i need it i have a boat load of wash to catch up on and i am not really sure where it came from. do you ever get the feeling that your kids or husband has been putting his clean pile back in the laundry??? i did 6 loads yesterday and i have at least that to do in baskets again today and i need to do bed wash as well. lol i am going to be here all day so i have not had much time on my hands lately to busy been working a little more. randys boss has not phoned in 2 weeks and so its a good we he has a good brother who puts him to work. i think this may even become a permanent thing again. randy is nervous and i am trying to calm him down not sure why he is either the bills and stuff are paid .we have extra so i think he is just being a guy really. so i have been a bad girl also i was pulled over for speeding a couple of weeks ago and i had forgotten that i sitill needed to renew my liceinse in was in the back of mind honest !!! lol so i got two tickets one for 161 for speeding and then 230 for no liceinse and randy had to come pick me up as they were going to tow the van if he didn't ...............eeeeecccckkkkkk . i do have another good thing to share just not yet!! and i am sharing the salt challenge with you this week we have noticed we do have alot of followerers and thank you for that we would love to see you participate to so come and share your creations with us here and this is my take on the challenge

weekend around here yesterday i spent making homemade pizza x3 and marble bundt cake for davids bday party we went bowling and aunty nanny, grandma s and uncle shawn and aunty sheila and sam and avery came to. we had fun david almost beat his dad david also had 2 friends caleb and christopher along to we had a great time. christopher came over for a sleep over to we got up and had pancakes and bacon nummy. randy is back to work more now its looking up my sister for a bit longer so i had better hang out with her chck out the recent scrappiness

warmer here hubby went to go pick up the kids and said the temp was 9 degrees oh yes finally things are getting better we may see green soon yippee. i also noticed something the other day too the neighbors down the streethad some of the household moved out another yippee they enjoy hogging all the parking aroud here found them parked across my driveway one day NICE!! they moved rather quick when i started walking down the street to their house. ever do that?.............. i do it on ocassion and then wonder why i do lol was watching the grudge tonight in all the bad parts covering my eyes i m a huge ghost whisperer fan to or most haunted serious addiction not that i believe any of it but you know always been a thing for me lol so i was supposed to go out with the girls last night but hubby ended up working till after 11 pm crazy nothing like a 19 hour day GROSS!!!! but all good he is putting another 15 hour day today hes not happy about it because its been a serious mess!but you cant look a gift horse in the mouth and he is thankful!!! i am hoping he goes to work for mark tomorrow instead so is he

this weekend i was working nights, my sister called me saturday to tel me she was coing up for a visit that night she ended up having the kids to as randy was out of town in zama yay for work!!! anyways on sunday after about 2 hour of sleep we went skating i can not skate yet i dont think my ankle will agree with it yet so i took pictures!!!

my hubby and MIL were there too but i had not post the picture she would kill me lol!!!

i also got told the nicest NO today of all i love the personal touch it gives to a company to take time to send emails to everyone and cannot wait to see who gets on the team well i got more layouts to do and a laundry pile calling my name ( it is really never ending )

and now not able to sleep real well i think its cos the house is to quiet lol you get used to your noise in your house lol so i had a challenge over at Free forum : Scrap My Memories for the guest designer challenge for march this is what i came up with you had to recycle it
you had to recycle things for this challenge so i recycled an enevolope for the pocket ,i used cardboard from a kit box ,left over cable ties hs swapp packaging tim holtz packing and embellie bag from evalious!!!(full of cute stuff found here ) and endess other things so wish me luck!!! the contest ends today!!!

a tea misto starbucks has them just order a teamisto with berry blossom white tea with a vanilla oh so good kim has addicted lol!!!!.so this next week is going to interesting to say the least hubby not to long ago got layed off from his job in november just after he found a weekend job to help out around here. with economy things were slowing down real fast so when dealt with that he started looking. found a great job making more money but and this is a big one they cant seem to keep him busy right now. then last week he gets this call from the weekend job" sorry buddy we have to let you go not busy enough to keep you working" yay. so there goes my ulcer and i am thinking of taking up a drinking habit ( not likely). i have no addictive personally my parents have pretty much killed my desire to have any addictions with there habits. so then GOD steps in we get busy the week day job picks up and then he gets a call last friday weekend job "i need you to work this weekend" and then weekday job" can you go here". then weekend job calls today call you work all next week to cover vacay. GOD answers prayers he does i have taken some more shifts not sure how all the babysitting works out but i am tryng to get 8 a month will help quite a bit just not sure my credit is going to like the use its getting lol!!!!

this weekend not looking forward to it but money is always a good thing got a new dishwasher this week and 6 new kitchens chairs needed those badly lol now we know why stacy needs to go work this weekend besides its a mini vacay from the kids right just need a little one girl can dream that that might be enough for the next week right lol love them but they have been getting a bit under the skin got them all ice skating helmets this week so maybe we can get out and have some fun!!!!

in the middle of some re organization bug time in the last two weeks i have ceaned out under our stairs cleaned out jesse's closet(major task) put 1000 pictures easy into album all layouts are in albums now i am tackiling the photos in the computer now clean ut my scrap box again gave shantal a pile of paper clean and shredded my paper ile big time and now looking for a file cabinet by pay day verymuch needed around here lol!!!! thinking of putting all my recipes into books CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY !!!! anyways all done with that layouts to share thanks for stopping by!!

not much going on here hubby has been working alot. the kids went back to school today. we took advantag of hubby being hoe so we cleaned out under the stairs kids i tell ya if you dont lock things up they get into everything what a mess . it is all clean now !
